Twitter saves.

Do you know twitter? I’m pretty sure you do! Well, “Twitter actually began began as a research and development project inside San Francisco start-up company Obvious, LLC in March 2006. It was initially used internally by the company, and officially launched in October 2006.

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send “updates” (or “tweets”; text-based posts, up to 140 characters long) to the Twitter website, via short message service (e.g. on a cell phone), instant messaging, or a third-party application such as Twitterrific or Facebook.

Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and instantly delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. The sender can restrict delivery to those in his or her circle of friends (delivery to everyone is the default). Users can receive updates via the Twitter website, instant messaging, SMS, RSS, email or through an application. For SMS, four gateway numbers are currently available: short codes for the United States, Canada, and India, as well as a United Kingdom number for international use. Several third parties offer posting and receiving updates via email.” - Wikipedia.

And just recently Twitter was on the front page news as it helped a student’s release from jail on a foreign country. Well, 23-year-old UC Berkeley graduate student  was taking photographs on a noisy  anti-government demonstration in Egypt when he was arrested by Egyptian officials and was thrown in jail. He used his cell phone to tweet one word to his vast network of friends on Twitter: ARRESTED. One word. His friends and family quickly made actions, notifying his School, the International Herald Tribune, the Associated Press, and other media — who pressured the Egyptian authorities. He was subsequently released from jail and returned home two days after.

AMAZING HUH?

SO, FOLLOW ME NOW - JUST IN CASE. :)

15 Things.

There are a lot of changes in my life recently. I’m not even sure if I’m keeping up but I guess these changes are tolerable.

One. I just got new responsibilities in the office and I’m not sure if I can live up to the expectations. I know I can handle the responsibilities, but I need all the help I can get and I know my colleagues (especially my manager) are there to support me. I need to be more focused this time. Career is getting good, I know that for sure.

Two. I just got moved to the morning shift. Yeah, I kinda like it but I am still adjusting my body clock. I have been on the evening shift for almost 3 years now and suddenly my schedule goes back to normal working hours. I may need to take supplements this time, seriously.

Three. On my previous blog entry, a friend met a horrible accident while intoxicated. That made me realise that I need to slow *sigh* down my alcohol in-take.

Four. In relation to my morning shift. I haven’t smoked any cigarettelately. I’m quite busy on the reports. This is actually good. lols.

Five. I’m nose-bleeding from a friend’s bragging sessions about her so-called career. Worse - It’s almost on a daily basis.

Six. Cebu’s temperature is getting into my nerves.

Seven. I haven’t been to the beach for almost 2 weeks now. By the way, I love the beach just recently. I used to hate beaches.

Eight. I’m torn between our company summer outing and our team’s beach outing and what’s bad about the two - they’re both on the same dates.

Nine. I miss my family.

Ten. My Internet connection at home is down, 2 days now.

Eleven. I need to pay my bills or else…

Twelve. I need to save more and get a decent -ahem- laptop this time.

Thirteen. I need to reconsider the option to transfer to a new crib. My current crib is getting crowded.

Fourteen. I think, I need a love life. lols.

Fifteen. I want to be really really HAPPY. :)

That’s all.

Happy Earth Day!

Let’s DO our share.

Save Earth.

Save Lives.

Happy Earth Day Everyone!

Never drink and drive

My recent absence from the blogosphere is due to an accident. An Accident that almost took a friend’s life. The accident happened wednesday morning, I was busy finishing a report and it occured to me to check my mobile phone. And yeah I did. There were several messages on my Inbox. As I carefully read through each message my heart skipped a beat when the last message popped-out saying a friend met an accident a few minutes ago and is now being rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, it was already my time-out. I hurriedly logged off my station and cleared my desk. In less than 3 minutes I was already out of the office. I called my friends asking them which hospital she was taken. In minutes, I was already in the emergency section but was not admitted - hospital policy. I had to wait until almost 11am until her sister came out and said that everything was gonna be okay. I went home and was half-asleep, half-awake. It was 6pm when I decided to back to the hospital. The moment I entered her private room, I froze. My knees locked. It took almost 3 minutes for me to utter a word. I saw her eggplant-colored swollen face. Her left eye was severely swollen, her arms were full of bruises too. She had to be scheduled for surgery. Titanium will be implanted on her left eye. The surgery was just this morning. I’m praying that everything will turn out just fine.

She was drunk when the accident happened. She was brave enough to drink and drive. Too bad. Tsk. Tsk.

From now on, I’ll Never DRINK and DRIVE. Not even a single drop!

I’m sad.

my friend.

I couldn’t help but LOL on a friend’s recent blog entry. She recently made an entry in “celebration of our friendship.” And it’s really -ahem- hilarious. She called me the KSP guy she love.

…and I beg to disagree, I’m not KSP. Never. Never been. I have too much of attention to ask for more! Lols.

Now that she officially called me her KSP friend. Let me think of a unique name to call her too.
Hmph… I’m thinking “My Bitchfriend.”

Any suggestions?

LOL. LOL. LOL.

WANTED: dead or alive.

Update. Bum. Bored.

I’m a bum for two weeks now. I’m on vacation leave. Two weeks. Take that!

On this new domain. I didn’t expect that transferring domains would be such a hassle. It took me more than 3 days tweaking and I still haven’t figured out everything. Not to mention the problem with my host. My site seems to be really slow and so does my cpanel. My PC is having an Attitude Problem too. I’m not even done tweaking my other domain mabitona.com. Well, I may just have to take it slowly. :D

Work. I still have a lot of catching up to do at work. I’m also kinda happy coz I’d be transferred to the morning shift - yay! Normal Life! lols. There have been changes in the office and i’ll blog about it soon.

Beach. I still have a lot of beach to conquer this summer. I’m almost halfway on my itinerary. :P .

Beer. I need to slow down on my intake.

Here. Sunkissed. Drunk.

Beejing Beer

Camotes Reloaded.

A week after escaping to Camotes Island, there I was again. But I was on another island. You see Camotes Islands consists of 3 main islands - Poro, Pilar and San Francisco. I was in San Francisco, this time. Right after my friday’s shift at work Bjorn, Yellie, Yasmin, Clancy and yours truly took the first fast craft to Camotes at 9am. It was an uneventful 2 hour trip. The AC was not all working, hot. hot. hot. It was almost 12 noon when we arrived at Sitio Santiago and we’re immediately ushered by our dear friend Oslec to our reserved room. We had a great lunch at Santiago Bay Beach Resort. An hour later we went back to our rooms and took some rest. We all decided to take a tour around the island. It was 7pm when we’re back to our rooms and had dinner. By 10pm we’re heading off to the beach front to start drinking what’s supposed to be drank. lol. Yeah Beach and Beer. We had Beer and Ice Cube scarcity so we called it a night by 3am.

The next day was a Sunday. The breakfast was good. We trekked the sides of a very treacherous cliff just to invade a very secluded portion of the island but the sea current was strong enough and all our efforts were lost. We spent most of the first half the day soaking up the sun. The Lunch was great by 2pm. It was already low tide so we decided to trek again back to the secluded portion of the bay. It was a 15minute walk trough very sharp rocks and last we arrived, and guess what? that part of the beach turned out to be a local cemetery! We had fun though. It was 5pm when we all decided to start the videoke and beer match. The beer was totally -ahem- excellent, not to mention the videoke. lolz. We called it a night 1am.

Monday, we’re back to reality :(

For the record, this is one trip I wouldn’t forget. The laughter, the fun, the beer, the videoke, the adventure, the near-death experience of a friend, the soaking up the sun, the sunburn, and the camwhorage are definitely not worth forgetting.

To Oslec: Thanks for everything. I thought the weekend wouldn’t be really fun but oh well, I was wrong. I had so much fun.

To Bjorn: Our trips together are worth remembering. Thanks for the company. There’d be no fun without you around.

To Yellie: We have the same wavelength. I am glad to have spent a weekend with you. “Naleke ko geng!”

To Yasmin: You are one great friend. I thought we wouldn’t get along so well but again I was wrong. I’m looking forward to our next escape. “Shot sa, Shot sa!”

To Clancy: You are one true friend. Thank you for being so patient. I thought you know how to swim?

Before I get teary eyed here. lolz. Lemme share some camwhorage:

Summer 2008: part 1

I started the Summer of this year by heading off to an Island known for it’s white sands, crystal blue waters and fresh seafoods - Bantayan Island. The Bantayan Island, as far as I’ve known is the only island (aside from Boracay) celebrates the holy week partying on the beach front. It is also known for having been allowed by the Vatican for its people to eat meat during the lenten season. A brief history of the Island is etched somewhere in their centuries-old church. Well, the trip was dated March 1-3 and everyone had a great time.

A little less than 2 weeks later, we were headed off to a beach on the southwestern side of Cebu - Moalboal. Although the sand is not as fine as the one from Bantayan but the weekend was still great.

Moving out!

I’m leaving this domain.

Please update your links to http://www.ibeejing.com

I’m still on the process of updating the site so please bear with the clutter. lol.

Thanks!

Forgive meh…

I recently paid for a new hosting and a new domain. Based on the company’s website they’re hosting more than 2000 domains and they’re even boasting 8 years of hosting services. Reputable huh? So, I signed-up a year contract. I made a payment through Bank Deposit. Sent the required email. Well, I thought that was too easy. But I was phacking wrong. I recently went to a beach trip thinking by the time I’m back the account will be activated. I checked my email and there it was, they sent me an email stating that my payment is past due! I logged in to the client area and sent a ticket. Amazing, less than an hour later someone from their staff sent me a message and that my payment has been posted and they sent me the system generated invoice. I thought my headache was gone but this was just the beginning! According to their terms and conditions, the account will be activated within 24 hours from the time they receive the payment. Guess what? It’s more than 24 hours and no word yet. I sent them a few tickets asking for any update but it has fallen to deaf ears! argh! argh! I’m beginning to loose my patience here. phack. phack. This is so frustrating. It has been 5 days already. Activating an account shouldn’t take this long based from experience. I’ve delayed a lot of my new entries because I’m excited with my new domain and I’m phackingly disappointed now! I hope someone from their staff will read this.

“To my NEW HOST, you hear me? Get a Life! I might cancel my subscription and take it somewhere else. I’ve got 30 days right?”
