Yay! It’s Thursday and this means only one thing - it’s gonna be my lastday at work and I’ll embark into a one day restday. Oh well, although one day won’t suffice but I’ll make sure every bit of my restday would be worth it.

I was thinking of spending my restday checking all my accounts online. I haven’t been online quite much these past few weeks. There are a lot of accounts I need to update, there are a lot of games I need to play but I don’t think I can manage that over the weekend. lol. Speaking of online games, a close a friend is currently hooked in online casinos gambling his bucks and I noticed it’s kinda addictive. Oh well, he’s got a lot of money and unfortunately I don’t have that much to spend.

I might be trying the online thingy a few months from now and once I get the finances to back me up. Haha! Anyway, I’m about to end my shift in a few and I still don’t know what to do on my restday. I don’t want to spend it at home - that’s rather boring. And if I’m gonna spend it online I might be tempted to spend my savings on online shopping and hmm… gambling.

Talking about hmm… shopping I was SM City Cebu last weekend and I was drooling over a new portable - the Dell Inspiron 1525. Woohooo! I love the design and its wide range cool new patterns, the vibrant colors, the accents.. whoa.. I love it… Hmm… this is gonna be my project this year. Haha! This adds to my long lists of needs… ahem… I mean wants. Haha!

Hmmm…. I might go and get wasted this weekend because it’s payday weekend… ooooohhh…

This photo was taken by Oslec almost a year ago in Tabuelan, Cebu and I forgot the name of the beach resort. haha!

Last week right before I left for Davao City, I had the chance to drop by Cebu City’s infamous Casino Filipino. I was about to go home when a few of my friends were literally dragging me just to spend some bucks and possibly not getting something in return. Oh well, I’ve been to a lot of casinos but I’ve never been really fond of it until now. The moment we entered the great halls of the casino, we were already in a festive mood. Festive enough to spend our last remaining cash. Most of my friends were too excited to play the slot machines and they just left me all alone standing in the middle to of the hallway. Oh well, I’m already an adult - I can take care of myself, so I took the escalators and on the 2nd floor - there I was surrounded by people playing the BINGO game. Bingo is the only game I play whenever I’m in a casino. Haha! I pity myself. Anyway, I spent most my cash in hand without even winning a single cent. Pretty bad day huh? I  mean unlucky. It was almost midnight when I had the leave the Bingo Floor because I’m already out of cash. By the time I found my friends they were already too tired catching the lucky stars but they were unlucky too - at least I’m not alone. Haha! The night was kinda young so we had the chance to grab a beer session that ended up 3am. Oh well, when you’re with friends the fun never stops - though we went home empty handed.

Friday, August 15, 2008 started a little bit late for me. I woke up almost 10am and I’m running late for an engagement. Oh well, I had to literally eat breakfast and run just to make sure i’ll be on time and yes - I made it to the engagement a good few minutes before the start time. The engagement took an hour to finish which I thought to be over in less than 30 minutes. It was high noon when I finally made it out of the building and my stomach was numb. I had to take a cab to the nearest mall for a well deserved breakfast - uhm, I mean Lunch. Having Breakfast seems to be out of the daily task these few past days. Oh well. Lunch was okay, at least. My phone’s alarm took me by surprise while I was having my monthly dose of rest, relaxation and make-over. The screen popped-up ”Meet-up with Ms. Google Philippines, 5pm” I had to cut short my relaxation because I’ve already confirmed my attendance.

It was still 4pm when I arrived in IT Park so I had to make use of my time by dropping by at the office to check emails. It was almost 5pm when I finally flagged the last unread mail. A few minutes after 5pm I was on my way to The Walk’s Figaro. Familiar faces were huddled outside Figaro and was busy talking to each other. Oh well, there’s Winston, Xerxes, Webslave, Rodel, McBilly, Wil, Miong, Sinjin, Arnold and Empress - I’m not even sure who else was there. lol.

Anyway, it was not until 6pm when Ms. Google Philippines, Aileen Apolo graced the huddle - in the flesh. She brought with her a friend. *wink, wink*.   Oh well, we introduced ourselves, asked a few questions, shared thoughts and insights. It was a casual meet-up, really. And I almost forgot, Aileen  brought Kevin’s award for being one of the Top 10 Most Influential Blogs of 2008.  Soon we were immersed in our little conversations.

The night ended with hearty dinner at Barbeque Joe’s, which the experience is another story.

Sunday, right after spending almost 9 hours in the office I was in a hurry to take a cab going to Ayala Center Cebu for the 3rd Cebu Bloggers Meet-up. Oh well, as always - I’m late (I should be late, I have a workshift!!). The meet-up should’ve been 2pm as agreed but 3 Travel bloggers (Melo Villareal, Enrico Dee, and Nina Fuentes) will not come until 5pm. It was almost 6pm when finally I’m in Bo’s Coffee Club placing an order for my favorite Oreo Frap. By the time I took a seat, Cebu-based bloggers were already busy engaged in conversation. It was kinda awkward, at first, to finally meet the bloggers behind the blogs.

Oh well, there were bloggers whom I’ve already met during the 1st Cebu Bloggers Meet-up. Anyway, they’ve decided to have dinner together which I opted not to join simply because I’m anti-social, lol, tired.

A few hours from this writing the Cebu Bloggers will have a meet-up, again, in Bo’s Coffee Club, Ayala Center Cebu. As of writing no word yet on what’s gonna be the agenda for the 2pm meet-up. However, on the 5pm shift it’s gonna be a meet-up with some Travel Bloggers. Oh well, I’m gonna be missing this meet-up again - the 2pm, that is. Anyway, I’ll be online today to check for updates. So, to all Cebu Bloggers you guys enjoy each other’s company and see you on the 5pm meet-up.

AUGUST RUSH!

Last night I watched the movie August Rush - just in time for August. I thought it would be another feel good movie but I was wrong - I was moved. There were scenes that I had to summon the courage not to cry. The plot is really great,  the actors and actresses were stunning, and the music - it’s amazing. Never have I been moved by such a movie for months now. All I can say is Miracles do happen.

Moving on, I never thought it’s already August and yeah it came in a rush. There are a lot of changes I’d be expecting this August. One of which is moving to a new apartment and it’s beautiful. Haha! Also, I’m already on the morning shift and with a new team. :-). Well, so much for blogging - I’m at work! lol.

There’s more to August than just a rush!
