Sunday, right after spending almost 9 hours in the office I was in a hurry to take a cab going to Ayala Center Cebu for the 3rd Cebu Bloggers Meet-up. Oh well, as always - I’m late (I should be late, I have a workshift!!). The meet-up should’ve been 2pm as agreed but 3 Travel bloggers (Melo Villareal, Enrico Dee, and Nina Fuentes) will not come until 5pm. It was almost 6pm when finally I’m in Bo’s Coffee Club placing an order for my favorite Oreo Frap. By the time I took a seat, Cebu-based bloggers were already busy engaged in conversation. It was kinda awkward, at first, to finally meet the bloggers behind the blogs.

Oh well, there were bloggers whom I’ve already met during the 1st Cebu Bloggers Meet-up. Anyway, they’ve decided to have dinner together which I opted not to join simply because I’m anti-social, lol, tired.

1. Meet up with Guest Blogger:

Final Date: August 15, 2008 (FRIDAY)
Time: 4:30 pm
Venue: FIGARO in The Walk, IT PARK, Lahug, Cebu City
Notes:

- All CBS members are invited to this coffee chat with our Guest Blogger and it is “KKB”
- This would be our first food trip as CBS members. If you want to blog about it, flaunt it!
- We might decide to take our dinner at Casa Verde in the same venue. So bring extra cash. ^_^
- Kevin has a special task to do in our CBS database *details are confidential but Kevin/Mark Tan is working on it.

2. MBM:

- LAN Party Registration is Php 400
- CBS Bloggers will clarify with Mr. Rio if the group will be given free passes to this event. Limited slots? 15?
- Date: Aug 23, 2008
- Venue: CICC
- Winston will clarify on an upcoming “Party” on the 24th of August.

3. CBS Recruitment:

- There is a progressive status on the recruitment as there is a good number of Cebu Bloggers that are responding to the invitation.
- One attraction that existing CBS members could suggest drooling others to join is FOOD TRIPPING/BLOGGING activity on weekends.

4. Food trips:

- Each is expected to be self-sufficient on Food Trips as of this time or “KKB” in other words.
- Suggested that we could start our food blogging on Figaro during the meet up with our guest blogger.
- The group thought of a photo op with the restaurant’s / coffee shop’s shift supervisor/manager. So bring your cameras peeps!
- We might ask for their Email add of the shop so we could send the URLS for those who chose to blog about their food products/services.
- Ms. Aileen of Sunchoke.net volunteered to do the printing of the cards.
- We are still waiting for Mark Tan’s approval for our “official” CBS logo created by Ms. Wilhelmina of Misswilhelmina.com. But still open for changes. Here’s the link again of the logo.

5. Meet up with the 3 Travel Bloggers from Manila:

- It was indeed a warm and successful meet up with the 3 travel bloggers: Eric of Byahilo.com, Melo of lakbaypilipinas.com/blog and Nina of justwandering.org
- There’s small GTKY/introduction by CBS members and the 3 travel bloggers in Bo’s Ayala.
- We dined at Harbour City for our dimsum dinner shortly after the meet-up.

6. Other matters:

- Contact with Ayala Cebu’s Management:
Advertising/Promotions department thru CBS blogs. (still to be discussed thoroughly)
