Since my current host is giving me a headache I have decided to switch hosts. I am hoping for the best this time. It has been days that I am backing-up on what needs to be backed up (especially my entries from way back). I’ve asked a lot friends from the plurkosphere on what’s the best hosting company and I’ve got valuable responses and recommendations. One or two even advertised their hosting packages. lol. But in the end, it boiled down to my own decision.
Yeah, in the next couple weeks this blog will be on maintenance mode as I am switching to the new host. There’ll be a lot of changes in this blog this 2009 and I’m very excited to get on with it.
So much for this entry.

Host Monster hasn’t given me any problems so far.
Also, have you installed a wordpress db backup plugin? I dont’ trust anyone with my data so I’m very paranoid with data backups.

Oh it’s sucky to have a hosting company that doesn’t do its job. Good luck switching hosts, it can be a pain but youll be better off I’m sure!

Hi Beej! So you really plan on switching hosts na tlaga.Hehe. I’ve been researching din on a good host with the best value because I want to integrate it sa packaging of my web business.
Anyway, base on my research, I think maganda talaga yung Dreamhost. A lot of known bloggers use it including Marghil. And nag tour ako sa control panel nila, very nice. Malinis, hindi magulo and the best yung 1 click installs nila.
Sila lang ata yung may ganon. Also, I’ve asked marhgil, very flexible yung server nila, you can easily upgrade or ask for more bandwidth / space if needed lang for a specific time. hehe.
For me kasi, wala naman talaga unlimited since na shared hosting naman yun lahat. But for start ok naman tlaga yung shared hosting as long as you can easily upgrade to VPS and maganda yung support. hehe.
Anyway, lastly, found a coupon from deamhost (DREAM09) that gives you $50 off and an additional free domain name. As I understand, another free domain name yan. So + 2 domain names na yung package kasi may kasama na free domain name once na mag register ka.
