On Safari 4 Beta and Browsing.

I just recently downloaded the first beta of Safari 4 for Windows and consumed approximately 109MB of my almost-full disk space. The internet-freak that I am found this new browser - simply amazing.

Top Sites

Its new Top Sites feature displays your most visited porn sites, uhm I mean, websites or favorites. You can even set your favorite sites as a home page or even the page you’ll see everytime a new tab is created. Though we can see this feature in Google Chrome but what’s amazing here is – Safar4 displays them in 3D! You can even re-arrange the sites just like your amazing iPhone. If you’ll see blue star on your Top Sites, it actually means the site has been updated since the last time you browsed through it.

Cover Flow

The Cover Flow feature of Safari 4 lets flick through recent web pages as you do in your iTunes. Hurrah!

Full History Search

The Full History Search feature allows you to search for pages you’ve been to. Safari 4 digs into text of your browsing history, based on your typed word or phrase and presents you with a list of possible or related websites. With Safari 4’s Full Page Zoom feature you can Zoom in and Zoom out without really having to worry on page layout or quality distortions.

Though I don’t know if it’s faster than the rest of the browsers out there but I guess it’s kinda fast for my standards. Safari 4 supports HTML 5 which allows web applications to store information locally even without web connection – pretty cool huh!?

With Safari’s new unveiled features Mozilla and Microsoft would really need to step-up in this Browser’s War.
