Photos: Cebu Bloggers and Sen. Mar Roxas II

I am not a fan, seriously, of the Philippine Politics. In fact it has been, I guess, 2 elections that I have opted to surrender my right to suffrage. Now that I am back to blogging, I didn’t really expect that I’ll be looped-in into what most people call as “New Media Political Campaign.” Though it is true that New Media is another medium for any personality to promote their agenda but I haven’t really given so much thought in promoting one’s agenda through blogging.

It was Kevin Ray Chua, a blogger and a friend, who spearheaded the event for a brief meeting with Senator Mar Roxas II. Last June 11, 2009, 6PM, at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Asiatown IT Park the Cebu Bloggers were given a chance to meet, greet and ask questions to Senator Mar Roxas. There were several questions raised by some bloggers. Though I opted not to raise any question when Kevin solicited them prior to the meeting – I was already forming questions at the back of my head.

I was busy plurking the gist of Senator Roxas’ answers when Blogie replied to one of plurks asking us to ask questions and demand for concrete answers. I was ready to relay the question Blogie posted but it was too late, Senator Roxas’ New Media Personel already adjourned the meetup to give way to a Photo Ops with a local newspaper. The meeting with the Senator only took up less than an hour. Brief. -sigh-

Right after the senator left the Cebu Bloggers were camwhoring to each and every camera pointed their way. It was fun though. The night culminated over a dinner at KFC.
