Cebu Bluewater Beach Resorts

Sumilon Island

Sumilon Island and its pristine blue waters.

Who says summer’s over!? Though the season may have changed from bright sunny days to gloomy rainy days but when you’re in Cebu you’ll never know the difference. You see – Cebu’s relatively dry climate all year round makes it a perfect destination to chill and unwind over Cebu’s best kept-secret beach resorts.

One resort I’ve been to a lot is the famous Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. The resort’s accomodation is home-like as you will encounter the staff’s warm smiles and cheerful auras. Maribago Bluewater provides relaxation away from the city. To fully enjoy the resort’s well-preserved natural beauty, a guest have the option to stay at their well-groomed royal bungalows, luxurious de luxe rooms and relaxing spa suites. For a sneak peak to one of Cebu’s Top Best Resort check the Maribago Bluewater Video.

If you’re into relaxation in an exclusive island and still away from the city then Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is a good place to go. The resort is located in the serene island of Sumilon. The island is regarded as one of Cebu’s best-kept island and is situated on the southeastern tip of mainland Cebu. The island has a total land area of  approximately 25 hectares and surrounded by crystal blue waters. Sumilon Island has been regarded the first marine protected area in the country and was made a fish sanctuary under the supervision of Siliman University’s Marine Reserve. Just like the rest of mainland Cebu, Sumilon Island boasts pristine white sand beaches around its shorelines.

Sumilon Island’s sandbar is also must-see. Depending on the season, the sandbar shifts and changes its size, shape and location. A natural-formed lagooned is also located on the island with its vast and high mangroves. Another must-see is the lighthouse  which rests on the southern side of the island and beside the lighthouse is a watchtower built to alert the nearby towns from marauders in the 19th century.
