September 5, 2009 – Ten of the most active members of the high-flying Cebu Bloggers Society active were exclusively taken for a tour to one of the world’s renowned furniture maker – Kenneth Cobonpue (Interior Crafts of the Islands, Inc.).
The Kenneth Cobonpue Showroom Tour showcased Kenneth Cobonpue’s world-famous, internationally acclaimed and uniquely designed furniture. Sylner Lopez, Marketing Officer spearheaded the tour and genially explained each furniture’s design and concept. He also showed the Cebu Bloggers Society a few local and international newsletters, books, magazines and press release clippings which featured Kenneth’s designs.
Sylner Lopez explained all the concept, the materials, and the design of behind each piece. He showed the bloggers all the accessories/complements and furniture throughout the wide showroom which includes both indoor and outdoor. The tour also included a lot of pieces from HIVE which complements all furniture.
Like any other tour, the Cebu Bloggers couldn’t keep their smiles off knowing that cameras are always ready to capture the moments. The tour ended with the ceremonial group photos.

My Take: The tour was incredibly awesome. I couldn’t help but be amazed to each and every piece with its modern design using natural materials and fibers as medium. It was a great and rare opportunity for the bloggers to have seen and touched the designs which earned Kenneth Cobonpue countless recognition within the design community.
