2010, Rewind, and More

I know this entry is uber late and shouldn’t have been published but since I don’t have anything to do at this time so I decided to publish this entry (Pardon me; I know I am not making sense). Oh well, I have been absent in most of the blogosphere events; I lost track of bloggers’ lives, updates, blog posts, and I even went missing for a few weeks on some of my social networking accounts (I had to cringe while untagging myself on some photos in Facebook). I’d really like to express out here the reasons why I have been absent but I’d rather not (lol) because readers of this (*damn) blog might think I have a split personality – ha!?

Anyway, rewinding back to December – yes! I’d say the month started and ended with FUN etched at the end of every day (embossed, I guess, would be a better way to say it – LOL). For one, I had the chance to spend both Christmas and New Year at home which is very rare in the business I’m in (Though I had to brace myself for the retribution but still Thank you, I mean I’m still thankful). Two, I had so much fun during my brother’s wedding. It was a fun wedding but it almost turned out to be undocumented because my SD card went nutts! You see, I took more than 800 photos during the wedding and I didn’t attempt to transfer them to my laptop. So, the day after, we went out to an adventure trip and ALL the photos were gone, literally. I cried but didn’t give up. I explored the web for softwares used to recover data, luckily I’ve found a good number of programs and I even bought on license for it (I know you might be thinking there are freewares out there but I had to cover my bases, I had to make sure all photos are recovered and I did and more). Oh well, the wedding pictures were saved. Moving on, December was also a great time for me to get in touch with my relatives who’ve been very supportive of me every step of the way. Tired from my brother’s wedding, we all went out to an Adventure Trip. We were supposed to enjoy the White Water Rafting in Cagayan de Oro but all dates were fully-booked. So, we all decided to have an adventure instead in Asia’s longest zip line – Zipzone: Dahilayan Adventure Park. It was not far from my Aunt’s place in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon (Click on the link for the Dahilayan Adventure Photos). So, we never really got tired from the trip but mostly on the camwhoring moments. Now, fourth on the list why December was fun – I got the chance to be awarded as one of the Top Ten Best Cebu Blogs for 2009. I didn’t even know I was nominated (I was on hiatus, remember!?), someone just told me my blog was part of the Top 20 list and I was no longer expecting to be in the Top 10 given there are, I think, better blogs in Cebu. You see, I landed on the 5th spot. To the organizers and judges – Thank you! I could go on and on check-listing the reasons why December was fun but I don’t want to publish a 5000-word blog entry (lol).

Moving on January, just last Sunday, January 10, 2010; I ran the 5KM Marathon in the Cebu’s Biggest Marathon: 01-10-10: Cebu City Marathon. More than 5000 runners ran during the Marathon (I am not sure with the numbers though; sorry. Haha!). Anyway, I completed the 5KM course in 32 minutes and 30 seconds – exactly. I guess that shouldn’t be awful provided I never had enough time to prepare myself for the run – aha!

Moving on the present, it’s already 9 in the morning – Monday and I still don’t have any sleep at all because of the Sinulog Festivities (Thanks to my Schedules, really. I’ve already accepted my fate and I know this retribution will pass). Well, so much for this entry….I will still need to refine my Sinulog 2010 entries, cheers!
