We Conquered Boracay!

After weeks of preparation and anticipation on June 27, 2008 we conquered Boracay. Besting all other teams at work - we soared high at number 1.

Our flight was 10:30am Friday, July 27, 2008. We were on time for the flight’s check-in. Most of us just came from shift and we haven’t had any sleep at all but nevertheless we’re too excited to conquer the Island. The flight was not that boring with Cebu Pacific’s in-flight games and too bad I didn’t get any of the prices. Hahaha! Anyway, the flight took us to Caticlan Airport in just less than an hour. We took a tricycle to the Jetty Port and we were on our way to Boracay Island.

We settled our bags in Tirol and Tirol Beach Resort and went to D’ Talipapa for Lunch. Haha!

Friday night was a party.

Cebu Blogger’s Meet-up.

This blog is getting dormant and I know that. Well, I guess I have to reconnect with my blogging life.  So this goes….

I was waiting for a cab in Escario St. when a friend patted my back saying a guy who just recently passed was a blogger. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I didn’t really mind at all. Well, curiosity was bugging me so I sent a text message to a blogger from Davao who’s now in Cebu for his -ehem- ECE Review. He confirmed. It was Winston of BatangYagit.

That was a few weeks ago. Then just recently I commented into one of his blog entries and there he told me that he’ll be organizing a Cebu Blogger Meet-up. And guess who else will be coming-in from davao? Blogie of angdabawenyo.com …. The meet-up will be this coming June 29 at Bo’s Coffee Club, Osmeña Blvd, 2pm.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the event. I’ll be in  boracay that time. Too bad for me. :(

So, to all Cebu-based bloggers. See yah on June 29, 2pm at Bo’s Coffee Club, Osmeña Blvd.

I suddenly stopped smoking.

Here I am at work trying to contemplate what’ll happen in the next couple of weeks knowing that some our tenured supervisors are leaving. I couldn’t think straight at this very moment because of some things that needed to be done….We’ll I’d have to admit, the reason of my inability to think straight is because - I quit smoking!

It has been 6 days that I stopped smoking and it’s really hard. It was pretty drastic and I’m not feeling well as I write this. The last cigarette I had was last Friday and from then on I managed to resist the urge to light one again.  Now, I’m having difficulty breathing, my throat is both sore and dry, and I have this dry cough. I have trouble sleeping. I get easily irritated and headaches occur at random. I researched the web if these are common symptoms of Smoking Withdrawal and Yes they are. Just a few minutes ago a friend invited me for a Cigarette break - I didn’t show up! Although my friend was kinda upset but I guess it was the right thing for me to do. I explained the reason and she gave me  a kudos. I’m trying to forget how a cigarette taste like - I know I’m making progress.

I knew quitting wouldn’t be easy but I’m determined to get through this….

A call to all cebu-based bloggers.

Calling all Cebu-based bloggers.

Why Don’t We All Convene?

15 Things.

There are a lot of changes in my life recently. I’m not even sure if I’m keeping up but I guess these changes are tolerable.

One. I just got new responsibilities in the office and I’m not sure if I can live up to the expectations. I know I can handle the responsibilities, but I need all the help I can get and I know my colleagues (especially my manager) are there to support me. I need to be more focused this time. Career is getting good, I know that for sure.

Two. I just got moved to the morning shift. Yeah, I kinda like it but I am still adjusting my body clock. I have been on the evening shift for almost 3 years now and suddenly my schedule goes back to normal working hours. I may need to take supplements this time, seriously.

Three. On my previous blog entry, a friend met a horrible accident while intoxicated. That made me realise that I need to slow *sigh* down my alcohol in-take.

Four. In relation to my morning shift. I haven’t smoked any cigarettelately. I’m quite busy on the reports. This is actually good. lols.

Five. I’m nose-bleeding from a friend’s bragging sessions about her so-called career. Worse - It’s almost on a daily basis.

Six. Cebu’s temperature is getting into my nerves.

Seven. I haven’t been to the beach for almost 2 weeks now. By the way, I love the beach just recently. I used to hate beaches.

Eight. I’m torn between our company summer outing and our team’s beach outing and what’s bad about the two - they’re both on the same dates.

Nine. I miss my family.

Ten. My Internet connection at home is down, 2 days now.

Eleven. I need to pay my bills or else…

Twelve. I need to save more and get a decent -ahem- laptop this time.

Thirteen. I need to reconsider the option to transfer to a new crib. My current crib is getting crowded.

Fourteen. I think, I need a love life. lols.

Fifteen. I want to be really really HAPPY. :)

That’s all.

my friend.

I couldn’t help but LOL on a friend’s recent blog entry. She recently made an entry in “celebration of our friendship.” And it’s really -ahem- hilarious. She called me the KSP guy she love.

…and I beg to disagree, I’m not KSP. Never. Never been. I have too much of attention to ask for more! Lols.

Now that she officially called me her KSP friend. Let me think of a unique name to call her too.
Hmph… I’m thinking “My Bitchfriend.”

Any suggestions?

WANTED: dead or alive.

Camotes Reloaded.

A week after escaping to Camotes Island, there I was again. But I was on another island. You see Camotes Islands consists of 3 main islands - Poro, Pilar and San Francisco. I was in San Francisco, this time. Right after my friday’s shift at work Bjorn, Yellie, Yasmin, Clancy and yours truly took the first fast craft to Camotes at 9am. It was an uneventful 2 hour trip. The AC was not all working, hot. hot. hot. It was almost 12 noon when we arrived at Sitio Santiago and we’re immediately ushered by our dear friend Oslec to our reserved room. We had a great lunch at Santiago Bay Beach Resort. An hour later we went back to our rooms and took some rest. We all decided to take a tour around the island. It was 7pm when we’re back to our rooms and had dinner. By 10pm we’re heading off to the beach front to start drinking what’s supposed to be drank. lol. Yeah Beach and Beer. We had Beer and Ice Cube scarcity so we called it a night by 3am.

The next day was a Sunday. The breakfast was good. We trekked the sides of a very treacherous cliff just to invade a very secluded portion of the island but the sea current was strong enough and all our efforts were lost. We spent most of the first half the day soaking up the sun. The Lunch was great by 2pm. It was already low tide so we decided to trek again back to the secluded portion of the bay. It was a 15minute walk trough very sharp rocks and last we arrived, and guess what? that part of the beach turned out to be a local cemetery! We had fun though. It was 5pm when we all decided to start the videoke and beer match. The beer was totally -ahem- excellent, not to mention the videoke. lolz. We called it a night 1am.

Monday, we’re back to reality :(

For the record, this is one trip I wouldn’t forget. The laughter, the fun, the beer, the videoke, the adventure, the near-death experience of a friend, the soaking up the sun, the sunburn, and the camwhorage are definitely not worth forgetting.

To Oslec: Thanks for everything. I thought the weekend wouldn’t be really fun but oh well, I was wrong. I had so much fun.

To Bjorn: Our trips together are worth remembering. Thanks for the company. There’d be no fun without you around.

To Yellie: We have the same wavelength. I am glad to have spent a weekend with you. “Naleke ko geng!”

To Yasmin: You are one great friend. I thought we wouldn’t get along so well but again I was wrong. I’m looking forward to our next escape. “Shot sa, Shot sa!”

To Clancy: You are one true friend. Thank you for being so patient. I thought you know how to swim?

Before I get teary eyed here. lolz. Lemme share some camwhorage:
